In the Cemetery of the Indians, a soft grassy carpet dotted with marble tombstones and red rose plants on the graves, 496 fallen of the Second World War are buried, of which 493 soldiers of the Indian Army (IV, VIII and X Indian Division) and 3 of the British Army. Of these, 15 are still unknown.
Additional information:
Inside the cemetery there is the Forli Cremation Memorial, where the names of the other 768 Indian soldiers (Hindus and Sikhs) whose remains were cremated are engraved.
How to get there:
The Indian army cemetery is located almost opposite the monumental cemetery in Via Ravegnana, one of the entrance roads to the city centre for those coming from Ravenna and from the Forlì exit of the A14 motorway.
