The Bosco di Scardavilla Regional Reserve was established in 1991 and covers an area of approximately 30 hectares. It was the subject of botanical studies by the naturalist Pietro Zangheri; today this commitment continues with the aim of monitoring the evolution of the natural landscape and to deepen knowledge of its flora and fauna.
Environmental education In collaboration with local schools, educational projects such as experimental workshops and guided explorations are implemented.
Interventions are led by qualified personnel through specific qualifying courses organised by the Emilia Romagna Region’s parks service.
Nature conservation
Through specific and targeted interventions, an attempt is made to remove obstacles that compromise the establishment of valuable flora, to recover the functionality of compromised habitats and to enhance the receptivity of environments where rare and threatened plants and animals reproduce.
