Franco Agosto City Park

Franco Agosto Park in Forlì has three characteristics that make it unique among the green areas of the city. Its strategic location, right next to the old walls of the historical center, gives it a suggestive atmosphere and a direct link to the city’s history. With an area of 26 hectares, bordered by the majestic Montone River, the park extends into a well-defined natural environment. Of particular interest is its proximity to another large green area that surrounds the Pierantoni Hospital, creating a unicum of equipped green spaces that enrich the urban fabric. The internal paths, enlivened by the presence of free-roaming rabbits, and the circular path along the Montone River, are regularly used by the inhabitants for walking, jogging and cycling. The park offers a variety of attractions and facilities for entertainment and recreation, including a charming pond populated by free-ranging geese and ducks, a sports center with basketball, soccer, beach volleyball and bocce courts, and a riding stable for horseback riding enthusiasts.
