The earliest historical information about this village dates back to 1200, when the Conti Guidi built the fortified town. The hamlet is surrounded by a curtain of houses dating back to the same period and is characterised by the presence of a unique amphitheatre-shaped square.

Until about 1965, the market for farmyard animals (rabbits, hens, ducks, guinea fowls, eggs, chicks.) was held here, so much so that in dialect it was nicknamed “la piazeta dagl ovi”.

Located in the historical center of Dovadola. It is accessible both by foot and by car.
