The eighteenth-century sanctuary was restored in 1927 by the architect Antonio Rizzi and dedicated to the Blessed Virgin of the Majesty for the graces received and in memory of the dead of the 1915-18 war.
Inside the sanctuary, which has a single aisle, there is a fresco of the Madonna and Child, placed on the high altar in 1774, in a clearly late Gothic style. According to popular tradition, it was painted by an anonymous artist in the first half of the 14th century.
The high altar is made up of a mensa and an altarpiece in stucco, leaning against the back wall, with a large high relief, also in stucco, with a pair of angels, a bed of clouds, numerous angels and cherubs crowning the blessing Eternal Father. This group is attributed to the Toselli school of Bolognese sculptors, who were very active in Forlì.
On the side walls of the nave, in stucco frames, hang two large 18th-century paintings depicting Judith in the tent of Holofernes and Judith holding the severed head of Holofernes.
