Home of the Captains of Justice and General Commissioners sent by the Florentines between 1403 and 1579 to Castrocaro Terme.
Enlarged between 1541 and 1542 by General Commissioner Jacopo de’ Medici. The coat of arms above the entrance is the Medici coat of arms with the ducal crown (b. 1566); the other coats of arms refer to the Captains of Justice and General Commissioners Angelo de Vettoris (b. 1433), Jacopo Ventura (b. 1445) and Nicolò Federighi (b. 1599).
Directions: From Forlì km 11 along the SS 67. In the historical centre of Castrocaro Terme.
Additional notes: The palace currently belongs to the Giglioli dei Castagni family.
