The Commonwealth Cemetery was built between the end of 1940 and the beginning of 1950 and has an architectural structure similar to other cemeteries built in Italy.
The cross of sacrifice is placed on a pedestal with a stepped octagonal base, the 145 tombstones are all uniform and there are no distinguishing marks of rank, social class, race or religion. They are engraved with the soldier’s name, rank, battalion, date of death and age. A small building completes the cemetery with two large metal tombstones on which the history of the First World War is summarised in Italian and English.
Opening hours: From sunrise to sunset, depending on the season.
How to reach us: The Cemetery is located in via Gualchiera, just outside the historical centre.
