Situated on a hillside and surrounded by rows of native vineyards, Villa La Pandolfa is sumptuous in its fine architectural elements and noble furnishings. Even today the palace appears in all its majesty. Its construction dates back to the first half of the 18th century, at the behest of the Marquis Andrea Albicini, to whom we also owe the construction of the family palace in Forlì.
Villa Pandolfa is situated on a hill, surrounded by native vines, on a slope where the rows of specialized vines stand out, and dominates the valley below with its imposing mass.
It was built in the first half of the 18th century by the Marquis Giuseppe Albicini, who was also responsible for the construction of the family palace in Forlì.
The name Pandolfa derives from the fact that the troops of Pandolfo Malatesta camped there in the middle of the 15th century during the siege of the castle of Fiumana.
It was surrounded by a large park, which today has become the largest vineyard in the Rabbi Valley, a true symbol of the famous Predappese wine production.
On the side facing the hill, there is still the oratory where some members of the family were buried, whose remains were later transferred to the monumental cemetery of Forli. Just before the Second World War, after a period of decline due to the Albicini family’s decision to spend their vacations in another estate in San Lorenzo in Noceto, the Pandolfa was purchased by Commendatore Giuseppe Ricci, who restored it.
How to get there: Villa Pandolfa is located on the road from Forlì to Predappio, just after the village of Fiumana, in Via Pandolfa n. 35.
Additional informations: The villa is meant as an exclusive environment for holding business meetings, meetings, parades, exhibitions and events, and ceremonies.
Opening hours: The villa, now the residence of the new owners, can only be visited by appointment.
