Standing on a panoramic and crossroads point
In 1603, in Casticciano, along the road connecting Bertinoro to Meldola, at the behest of Gaspare Sirri known as ‘Il Villa’, a small cell was restored and a painting by Mastro Bentivoglio of Bertinoro depicting the Madonna was placed inside.
According to the chronicles dating back time, news spread fast that praying to this image would obtain mercy.
