The building is still imposing and massive today. It was the seat of the Rubicon prisons from the Napoleonic era until the Unification of Italy.
Previously, from 1704, it was the first seat of Bertinoro’s Bishop’s Seminary, later transferred to the former Corpus Domini Monastery.
Entering from the side road, it is possible to reach a magnificent viewpoint and the garden open to the public.
