Seat of the Bishop’s Seminary of Bertinoro from 1817 to 1972, it was built in the early 18th century to house the Benedictine nuns of Corpus Domini.
Surrounded by high walls made of bricks and stone rubble, the building develops from an internal courtyard that still preserves the 18th-century cloister.
The cloister gives access to a large terraced park surrounded by walls, part of which belongs to the ancient defensive walls of Bertinoro.
The main entrance is surmounted by the terracotta high relief dedicated to the Madonna del Lago, attributable to the Sasselli workshop. Inside are preserved even the ancient cellars built in brickwork at the beginning of the 17th century.
