The building was built in the 1930s under the name of Opera Nazionale Dopolavoro. Today it has been transformed into a multi-purpose facility, inaugurated in 1995.
The building, erected in the 1930s on the right side of the main street (today Viale Matteotti), was built according to the canons of the time for the construction of recreational facilities. It was built under the name of “Opera Nazionale Dopolavoro” and housed an auditorium for theatrical and cinematographic performances, as well as some rooms for offices and other recreational activities; it was complemented by a park to the left of the building, where summer activities and open-air games were held.
The activity of the “Cinema Italia” continued until the end of the 70’s, when it was closed; the project for its restoration dates back to the 80’s and the new complex, now transformed into a multi-purpose facility (cinema-theater, library, conference room), was inaugurated in 1995.
Opening hours on weekdays: The theater’s opening hours depend on the performances scheduled from time to time.
How to get there: To reach Predappio from Forlì, you can take provincial road 3 of the Rabbi, heading in the direction of Premilcuore and Florence. Once you arrive in Predappio, you can easily find Via Marconi, which is a side street of Viale Matteotti.
