The Museum, whose new layout was inaugurated in October 2021, is dedicated to the themes of fauna and water, two fundamental aspects of the Casentino Forests National Park, and has been designed so that it can also be used by “younger” visitors.
At the entrance to the ground floor is the reception area and the bookshop, followed by the Model Room, where you can discover the Park’s famous hydrography through a series of videos, and the Water Room, where a series of information panels and interactive monitors illustrate the biodiversity associated with the different aquatic habitats and the use that man has made of water for his activities in the past.
Going up to the second floor, there is an area dedicated to young children, with sound and sign cabinets, which allow them to learn about some of the curiosities of the area through small tactile, auditory and visual games.
To the left of this area, there is the fauna room, with numerous information panels, interactive monitors and mammals belonging to the small, medium and large fauna, as well as several species of birds.
To the right of the closet area, there is a well-equipped educational laboratory where laboratory activities and seminars can be organized by appointment.
