The bell tower, on three levels, was built together with the church in 1497. According to tradition, at the base of the tower was the cell of the sinful monks. The triumphal arch of the bell tower is inspired by the Doric style with metopes and triglyphs. Some local scholars attribute the project of the bell tower to Bartolomeo Ammannati.
