A monument to the Modigliana patriot Don Giovanni Verità. The work, begun in 1905 and completed the following year, was created by the Florentine sculptor Italo Vignetti and on the left side bears the famous sentence pronounced by Don Giovanni Verità on his deathbed: ‘I believe in the true religion of Christ, not in the one that has been desecrated by the world and its ministers’. 13 November 1885
The monument is housed in the public gardens of Modigliana, located at the top of Via Garibaldi.
